Mark Fontanilla is the founder of Mark Fontanilla & Co., LLC, a strategic consulting firm that specializes in market strategies, advanced research and analysis, and index design and administration. With over 20 years of experience in the bond markets, mortgage finance, and fixed income research, Mark has achieved a uniquely thorough acumen in capital markets and investment analysis. Before founding MF&Co, he was a senior fixed income marketing strategist at Fannie Mae, including specific work with their primary credit risk transfer (CRT) program, Connecticut Avenue Securities™ (CAS). Prior to that, he had been a publishing research analyst in residential mortgage securities at Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, as well as an RMBS/ABS trader at Royal Bank of Canada, and the Director of Risk and Portfolio Management at Champion Mortgage. Mark has a B.S. and M.B.A in finance from Penn State University.
